a tale that was lost to time.
Most stories begin somewhere.A definitive point where a hero is born or made, where their nails claw them out of the soil and thrust them into the waiting arms of adventure.Lucky hardly remembers that time before; the time before her life was a tale written in nightmares and blood.She does know a few things about herself, things she calls 'indisputables'.She is a sister; her own sister does not remember who she is, and Lucky is the one to bear the grief of them never being reunited, knowing they will always exist just a world apart no matter where they are, no matter what timeline they are in. Goddess divine, or ships in the night, they will always be ever so close yet ever so far.The woman knows she is not... normal. Avian? Yes. Bestial? Also yes! With a memory that spans beyond the realms of normalcy, Lucky knows that she exists within multiple realities at once. Whenever a new tale is told of her, another timeline threads itself into her weave- with enough focus, she can access these timelines easily, like a bird fluttering from one wire to another.
But is it always so easy?A blood starved hunter, a bride left to ruin, her tales twist and turn to a narrative she cannot divine herself.All she knows is that she is along for the ride.
It's only natural that some tales become lost to time; her own included.Sometime has passed, in this place she isn't sure was once a church hall or a great hall fallen into disrepair and decay. The spire tower is her home, and here, she waits for something she for once can't remember.
With not much better to do, Lucky fancies herself a bit of a story teller, despite a proficiency in magic. She loves to spin tales, using her magic to make little images to go along with her tales.A tender hearted woman, with many secrets in her wings, Lucky is a woman who will find herself in more tales with more trouble than she can truly solve on her own.But lucky her, a party is always easy to find.

Meet The Colony - more specifically, the Cryptid Colony
The peaceful hideaway of the Roost makes it a perfect spot for beasts of all kinds. Lucky finds herself in a strange position as keeper of a small colony of otherworldly beasties. Each as unique as the last, they make sure there is never a dull day at the Roost!
Junkdrawer, the Wingleader
The Eldest of the Colony, Junkdrawer is the 'wingleader' of trouble within the Roost. Main source of scuff, Junk likes to chew cables, yell for attention, and launch himself at terminal velocity into Lucky's arms when he deems it appropriate. Junk's favorite hangouts are Lucky's desk, the tallest part of the cat tree, and anywhere his huntress is. His favorite snacks are chicken flavored anything, cheese, and four cheese lasagna.
Lamplight, Airborne Stress Test
Lamp, a moth-like cryptid, has long inhabited the Roost. Long before Lucky even called it home. But when the huntress started cleaning the house up and making it a home, the strange monster would come and hover round every flickering flame, and on occasion, nearly catch herself on fire! Lamp loves chewing on fabric, cuddling by the fire, and scaring the daylights out of her keeper by having all the self preservation of a stale piece of toast. She can most often be found in the linen cupboard, snuggled away snoozing.
Pants, the Timid Terror
While Pants is the youngest of the colony, don't let her shy nature fool you- when she grows comfortable, the trouble comes out in spades! The young Nightcrawler has only recently left the 'crawling' stage, but she's all gas no brakes on this crazy train. While she may often hide behind Lucky's legs and hang back when her siblings play for less contact sport level activities like gardening and tea parties, Pants is not above finding fun in making trouble around the Roost. She loves sweets, the color pink, stuffed animals, and chewing on table legs. Where her mouth is, is still up for debate.
Captain, All Hands on Deck
The Roost is home to not just physical beasties, but metaphysical as well. Proudly referred to as 'The Captain', the spectral disembodied hand makes sure the Roost is kept in tip top shape. No one knows how many hands the Captain has at his disposal, but last 'hand count' was 56! The Captain himself taught Lucky to 'finger spell' ASL as a way to communicate. Lucky also gives him a whiteboard he has free access to. The Captain's favorite spot is the Crow's Nest, where it can see all the way to the Unnamed Sea. Captain seems to not be able to drink or eat, but brews a mean cup of hot cocoa on those particularly chilly mornings.
